If you've been to events happening in St Neots over the past month or so, chances are you've spotted us hanging out and doing lots of colouring - we've been helping St Neots Town Council run their fabulous Jubilee Art Competition!
The competition was free to enter and open for ages 3 - 16. Entrants created a portrait of the Queen to celebrate her Platinum Jubilee. There were no limits on what mediums they used to create their portraits - be it colouring, painting, sculpting, the possibilities were endless! We attended St Neots Picnic in the Park, Street Food Fest and the Farmers Market in the Market Square one Saturday to publicise the competition and children could create their designs at our stand. We've had loads of fun seeing everyone creating their masterpieces.
The four winners then came and painted their design on a plate with us as their prize and their entries will be exbibited in the St Neots Museum. See the winning designs below and the winners with our lovely Mayor of St. Neots, Ben Pitt and a member of the St. Neots Youth Council who were judging the competition.
We love being involved in community projects like this - thank you to St. Neots Town Council for letting us collaborate with you!
