Pottery Class: Pinchpot Pumpkin

Autumn is here so we thought we’d get you into the spirit of it with our pottery pumpkin making workshop!

Roll up your sleeves and be prepared to get your hands dirty while discovering the therapeutic benefits of playing with clay!

During this 2 hour, beginner friendly, workshop you will learn clay building techniques and will be using the pinch pot method to make your pumpkin and will use pottery tools to shape and define it. You can then decorate your piece using our paints or we can add some special effect glazes to make your pumpkin pop.

You will then need to leave your pumpkin with us to dry out before we can glaze and fire it.

Advisories:

Please wear old clothing because clay can be very messy, it does wash out of clothing, and you can also bring your own apron if you would like.

Because this is a hand building class there are some problems that could arise during the firing process of the piece, the instructor will make you aware of these issues and will show you how to prevent these happening, but we can’t always guarantee that these issues won’t affect your piece. If there are problems with your piece, we will do our best to rectify the issue.
